Rachel Entrekin Never Ran High School or College Track. Now She’s One of America’s Best Ultrarunners.
June 25, 2026
It’s not often that LetsRun.com celebrates an athlete taking over two whole days to finish a race. It’s even more rare for us to celebrate an athlete who did not compete in competitive cross country or track — not in high school, not in college. But on May 4th, Rachel Entrekin did something that reached far beyond the world of ultra running. Not only was she the first woman to win the Cocodona 250 outright, but she also set the course record on one of the most grueling ultra courses in North America. For that, she now earns the title of LetsRun.com’s “Where Your Dreams Become Reality” Runner of the Month for May.
Our last two Runner of the Month recipients were Cooper Lutkenhaus and Sebastian Sawe, supernatural talents who make running look easy.
