Tour of Britain Women viewership rises fivefold in 2026
August 25, 2026
The 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain Women saw a fivefold increase in viewership on its official YouTube channel, reaching around 250,000 viewers compared to the 2025 edition. Broadcast coverage also expanded across ITV, TNT Sports, and international partners, helping the race reach a global audience.
This year marked a milestone for parity, as the women’s event matched the men’s race with five stages for the first time, running from Cockermouth to Royal Leamington Spa. South African rider Kim Le Court-Pienaar made history by becoming the first African rider to win the race, securing her first stage race Tour victory. British Cycling Ventures’ Managing Director Darren Henry highlighted the growth as part of their ambition to elevate the women’s race alongside the men’s event. CIN
