New All-Women Ski Film Winter Elements Celebrates Women Across The Ski Industry
November 5, 2025

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (November 5, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Creative studio Moonrise is producing a new feature-length ski film, Winter Elements, celebrating the hardworking women throughout the ski industry and their unique stories. A Kickstarter campaign is live, inviting the community to support Winter Elements and increase women’s stories in ski media.
Winter Elements highlights the essential contributions of women working across the ski ecosystem—from ski patrollers, avalanche forecasters, and cat drivers. The film elevates the experiences of everyday working women alongside professional athletes, showcasing the interconnectedness of various roles and the passion for winter that keeps the industry moving.
“Women are already driving the industry behind the scenes, and we are excited to amplify these often hidden stories,” said the Moonrise team. “Winter Elements demonstrates that women are here, taking up space, executing high-level jobs, and reveling in their love of skiing.”
The Kickstarter campaign, live through November 23rd, will fund production and post-production costs, including fair pay for cast and creative collaborators —a rarity in ski film production. Every dollar raised will go directly toward making Winter Elements the best it can be.
Moonrise is the team behind the Girl Winter Film Tour, the premier femme-forward ski tour selling out theatres across North America, and the award-winning film Advice for Girls.
Support tiers include on-screen credit, limited-edition handmade ceramics and jewelry, VIP tickets to the world premiere, and more.
