April 10, 2026

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 10, 2026) /SPORTSWIRE WOMEN/ – Suunto, a global leader in performance sports wearables, is proud to share a new partnership with Tracksmith Stamata in 2026. Tracksmith Stamata is a women’s marathon team led by 8-time Olympic Trials qualifier Stephanie Bruce, working towards their dreams of qualifying for the 2028 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. The program provides

hands-on support, mentorship, and resources to empower the next generation of women marathoners in their remarkable journey to the starting line.

“Team Stamata’s foundation is rooted in the communal experience of supporting other women through the journey, from training for a goal to showing up at the start line,” said Stephanie Bruce, Tracksmith sports marketing consultant and team lead for Tracksmith Stamata. “This naturally aligns with Suunto’s mission to make running accessible for everyone, matched by its best-in-class product that supports every Stamata woman in her journey to the OTQ. Our partnership will amplify our joint commitment to inspire runners, especially women, through the Amateur Spirit that defines who we are.”

This partnership deepens Suunto’s commitment to the North American road running space and expands Stamata’s resources for the team’s journey to the 2028 U.S. Marathon Team Trials.

Suunto will provide Stamata athletes with the latest Suunto GPS watches and open-ear headphones, including the Suunto Run performance watch and Suunto Spark air-conduction headphones. Together, these products provide best-in-class hardware and a full suite of essential marathon training features.

“Team Stamata represents exactly what we believe in at Suunto: when women are supported with the right resources, community, and belief, they don’t just perform at a higher level, they elevate the entire sport,” shared Jeffrey Stern, Head of Sports Marketing for Suunto North America. “We’re proud to stand behind a group of women redefining what’s possible on the road to the 2028 U.S. Olympic Trials.”

Tracksmith Stamata, in collaboration with Suunto, are heading to Boston later this month to celebrate this partnership during the Boston Marathon weekend. Multiple team members will be present, including Elizabeth Chikotas, who is set to line up in the women’s pro field.

About Suunto

Suunto is a Finnish brand, established in 1936. It was founded by Finnish inventor Tuomas Vohlonen, who pioneered a new standard for navigational precision. That same year, his innovation – a field compass – was stronger, steadier, and more accurate than any other handheld navigational tool of its time. It was the first of many Suunto products built to withstand the harsh conditions of our native Finland.

In the near century since, Tuomas’s spirit of innovation has continued to chart Suunto’s course. From some of history’s first dive computers and high-altitude wrist altimeters to today’s GPS watches, Suunto remains a trusted companion for outdoor adventurers across the globe.

Supporting explorers, athletes, and weekend warriors alike remains our core mission – providing the tools to dive deeper, climb higher, and push the limits of human potential.
