Where’s the Fanfare? Sunny Stroeer Becomes First Woman to Ski 1,000-Mile Iditarod Race

At the end of March, Sunny Stroeer became the first woman in history to complete the 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Invitational (ITI) on skis. She finished this self-supported ultramarathon in 29 days, 23 hours, and 6 minutes, less than 1 hour under the 30-day cutoff. Gear Junkie
