This Simple Fitness Test Could Predict How Long You’ll Live, Study Finds

A new study published in theEuropean Journal of Preventive Cardiology followed 4,282 adults between the ages of 46 and 75 to assess how well they could lower themselves to the floor from a standing position-and then rise back up-using as little assistance as possible from their hands, knees, furniture, or other people.
Researchers found that individuals who scored low on the sit-rise test had significantly higher rates of premature death from both natural and cardiovascular causes. KCS
