RADL GRVL presented by Quad Lock Announces GRVL® Femmes Wahoo Team Challenge for Australia’s Premier Gravel Event

November 20, 2025

RADL GRVL Femmes builds on the success of the inaugural SBT GRVL® Femmes to inspire and drive more female participation in gravel riding

Adelaide, Australia, (November 20, 2025) /SPORTSWIRE WOMEN/ – RADL GRVL presented by Quad Lock, one of the premier gravel cycling events in Australia that takes place during the 2026 Santos Tour Down Under, January 20-24, 2026, today announced the GRVL® Femmes Wahoo Team Challenge. The event is designed to create a welcoming and empowering environment for amateur female cyclists by promoting team-based racing, riding, and community support with registration for this unique initiative opening December 1.

Following the success of SBT GRVL® Femmes, RADL GRVL will continue to innovate and inspire amateur women cyclists by fostering a team-based approach to not only boost participation but also redefine the way women experience gravel cycling and racing together.

Wahoo’s support also invites women to train together on the SYSTM platform leading into the event, and provides GPS cycling computers to the winners as added motivation and incentive to train, race, and ride together.

The Amateur GRVL® Femmes Team Challenge will feature a team competition open to groups of three or more female riders. There will be race and ride categories on Friday, January 23, 2026. The race will take place on the 128 km Blue Course and will utilize a cross-country scoring format, where the top three finishers from each team will contribute to the overall team score — the team with the lowest score wins. This format allows riders of varying abilities to race together without fear of holding back their teammates, fostering camaraderie and collective achievement.

The GRVL® Femmes Wahoo Team Challenge is also open to riders participating in the Red or Green Courses, who can compete for the “Best Unity Award.” Awards will go to the most cohesive or creative team name, strategy, kit, or theme, and winners will receive prizes from RADL GRVL partners.

“After seeing the impact of SBT GRVL® Femmes, expanding this initiative to RADL GRVL is an exciting next step in championing women across gravel riding and racing around the world,” said Amy Charity, GRVL® Events co-founder and former professional cyclist. “We want to create a truly welcoming environment where female cyclists of all experience levels feel energized to show up, push themselves, and be part of a powerful, connected community.”
