Fifteen Women’s Teams Confirmed For 2025 Maryland Cycling Classic

BALTIMORE, (July 3, 2025) /SPORTSWIRE WOMEN/The Maryland Cycling Classic, America’s biggest and highest-ranked professional women’s road race, announced the final six women’s teams for the inaugural race that will take place Sept. 6. The 2025 Maryland Cycling Classic will be held in Baltimore and for the first time will feature both men’s and women’s races.

World Tour team Ceratizit Pro Cycling of Germany highlights the list of the final six teams which also features Canada’s Milton Women’s U23 Project, Mexico’s PatoBike-BMC and America’s Fearless Femme Racing, Fount Cycling Guild, and Aegis Cycling Foundation, the team of Lauren Stephens, runner-up at this year’s USA National Championships.

The six teams join previously announced Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto (GER), Cynisca (USA), CCB p/b Levine Law Group (USA), EF Education-Oatly (USA), Legion of Los Angeles (USA), The Cyclery (CAN), Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY28 (USA), and national teams from Benin and the United States.

“For an inaugural event, we’re really pleased with the competitive field we’ve assembled,” said Joanne Kiesanowski, the women’s competition manager. “Our goal was to attract top European teams alongside some of the best talent from North America, and we believe we’ve achieved that. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic race.”

Each team will be made up of six riders to max out a field of 90. The women’s race will be contested on the same day as the men’s race utilizing the same route, which will be announced at a press conference in July.

“To have these elite women compete on the same day and same course as the men was a vision and goal we’ve had from the beginning,” said race director Jim Birrell. “It’s great to see it all come together now with such a talented and dynamic field.”
