76% of fans want more coverage of women’s soccer

More than three quarters (76 per cent) of women’s soccer fans feel they do not see enough coverage of the sport, according to research from Sportfive.

Confirmed: 81 per cent of fans want to see specific content formats produced for women’s soccer. 62 per cent of fans consider sponsors of women’s soccer to be more likeable as a result of their sponsorship. Engineering, construction and trade industry has most sponsorships in women’s soccer, with a 10.2 per cent share of total deals. Nike leads all brands with 17 deals involving women’s soccer teams. 58 per cent of fans get information about women’s soccer from television, more than any other platform. SportsPro
