VIDEO: Women’s sports are primed for venture investment

March Madness is a thrilling, sometimes nerve-wracking, time of year for many people, and for the first time in history viewers may be more excited for the women’s tournament than the men’s. As surprising as that sounds, it comes at no surprise to Jasmine Robinson, co-founder and managing partner of Monarch Collective.

Monarch raised $100 million for its debut fund last spring with a unique investment focus: women’s sports. Robinson said that last year’s women’s tournament’s historic performance may have even help her fundraise. Venture Capital Journal
