Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe Launch Sports and Culture Show, A Touch More: The Podcast

August 9, 2024

A Touch More and Vox Media launched A Touch More: The Podcast, a new show created and hosted by world champion athletes Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe. Inspired by a limited series they hosted on Instagram Live in 2020, the show will release new episodes weekly on Wednesdays, offering audiences a deep dive into the world of women’s sports. Publishing across podcast and video platforms including AppleSpotify, and YouTube, Bird and Rapinoe will break down the latest sports landscape, surface insider stories, and chat with notable guests to explore the intersection of sports and culture. The show’s exclusive beauty sponsor at launch is L’Oréal USA.

“We are thrilled that this podcast is finally out in the world. It is truly a labor of love for us. The ecosystem of women’s sports media is changing rapidly, and it’s important to us that those with personal expertise and experiences have a voice in this space. We love making this show and hope that listeners have fun listening to it,” said Bird and Rapinoe.

About A Touch More: The Podcast: Take a front row seat with world champion athletes Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe, as they invite both new and longtime women’s sports fans to join them in obsessing over the newest headlines and breaking down the sports landscape. Sue and Megan will weigh in on debates like “Are today’s WNBA players too physical?” and “Are the rookies getting a fair shot?” (Alongside detailed reviews of those tunnel ‘fits, of course). It’s giving unmatched expertise, hot takes and sharp conversation. Plus—insider perspectives, in an “everyone’s got an opinion” moment. Hear Sue and Megan share deep cut stories from their experiences as professional athletes, and illuminate the intersection of sports and pop culture. Their energy is contagious, their guests are boldfaced names in sports and entertainment, and you’ll get a touch more insight into their lives together, too.
