JWS raises new money to expands its women’s sports media platform
June 1, 2026
Just Women’s Sports (JWS) has secured a new seven-figure investment round led by Bolt Ventures, the family office of sports investor David Blitzer. This marks Blitzer’s continued support for the company, having previously participated in JWS’s 2022 financing. The funding round also included returning investors such as Starry Eyed Tomorrow (the family office of Gotham FC part-owners Bobby and HyeMi Cho), Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Blue Pool Capital, and OVO Fund.
The company, founded in 2020 by former soccer player Haley Rosen who serves as founder and CEO, will use the fresh capital to expand its news and content infrastructure while growing its team. Rosen stated the investment will help the company double down on what’s working across digital platforms, production, social media, and events. This includes creating more original athlete-led programming and adding more voices to its shows.
JWS is a media platform dedicated exclusively to covering women’s sports, and Rosen described the timing of this funding as entering “the heart” of what she calls a pivotal year for women’s sports. The company has been building strategic partnerships, including a multi-year media partnership with the NWSL and a 2026 emerging media partnership with the WNBA, reaching 115 million monthly viewers with 4.5 million cross-platform followers.
