Caitlin Clark’s First Nike Sneaker Debuts Upper Technology With Meticulous, Aerodynamic Detailing

June 17, 2026

Nike has officially unveiled Caitlin Clark’s first signature basketball shoe, the Caitlin 1, in a “Racer Blue” colorway with a white ripple effect inspired by the three-point arc. The shoe debuts new Nike Opticast technology, featuring molded polyurethane nodes engineered to reduce aerodynamic drag and maximize movement efficiency during explosive cuts—tailored specifically to Clark’s fast-paced, range-focused game style.

The design includes numerous personal “Easter eggs” reflecting Clark’s journey: stacked Swooshes mimic her initials, exterior nodes feature “C”s while interior nodes show “2”s for her jersey number 22, and underfoot messages read “Shoot More Threes,” “From Everywhere,” and “It was never a long shot.” Clark will also launch a premium 18-piece apparel collection using Nike’s new Bouncy Fleece, bridging performance and lifestyle wear.

The Caitlin 1 will launch globally on October 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST via the Nike SNKRS app, Nike Basketball flagships, and select specialty boutiques. Adult sizes retail for $140 in North America ($135 internationally), with grade-school pairs at $115 and preschool sizes at $105. Clark, now the fifth active WNBA player with a signature shoe, described the partnership as a true collaboration designed to inspire the next generation. WWD
