After Athlos success, Alexis Ohanian ventures into another women’s sports building on LA’s rich heritage

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian, through his investment firm 776, is set to become the major investor for the seventh professional volleyball team in the League One Volleyball (LOVB) league, based in Los Angeles, launching in 2027.

This marks the third major sports investment for Ohanian in Los Angeles, alongside Angel City FC (NWSL) and the Los Angeles Golf Club.
