Few Triathletes Look Like Sika Henry. She’s Working to Change That.

Sika Henry signed up for her first sprint triathlon in 2013. She didn’t even own a bike. Fast forward 10 years—she’s been an IRONMAN 70.3 podium finisher five times, competed in the IRONMAN World Championships, and earned her Pro Card as the first Black female professional triathlete in 2021. She is also an ambassador for Race for Change, an initiative dedicated to supporting individuals from underrepresented communities who want to participate in an IRONMAN event. Here’s her story.
