Minnesota’s first women’s sports bar to open next spring in Minneapolis

A Bar of Their Own, which will exclusively show and promote women’s sports, will open in the old Tracy’s Saloon in Minneapolis’ Seward neighborhood next spring, it said on social media Wednesday.

Owner Jillian Hiscock launched a crowdfunding campaign in October and raised over $140,000 in two months.

Though interest in women’s sports is booming, places to watch their games are few and far between as men’s teams dominate bar televisions, Hiscock told MPR News. axios
