Title Nine Opens Applications for the second annual Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition

March 14, 2022

Applicants will compete for a chance to win up to $10,000 to grow their organization

Emeryville, Calif (March 14, 2022) /SPORTSWIRE WOMEN/ – Title Nine, adventure and outdoor apparel brand and retailer empowering women to lead, risk, and own, is proud to announce that its second annual Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition is now accepting applications.

Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition provides a platform for women to learn, grow, and challenge themselves in an educational and philanthropic environment. The program focuses on three areas of interest: 1) Sports and Outdoors: Empowering women and girls to move, grow, and adventure; 2) Reproductive Justice: Supporting every person’s right to bodily autonomy; and 3) Politics & Leadership: Eliminating the barriers to elected leadership and inspiring women and girls to step up in all aspects of their lives. The initiative invites California-based women to “pitch” their nonprofit business plans and grassroots ideas to industry professionals and, in turn, receive feedback and support from these mentors. The Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition finalists will partake in a two-day event at Title Nine headquarters to communicate their stories and present their strategies for an opportunity to win up to $10,000 to build their organizations.

“We are thrilled to kick-off the Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition again this year,” says Noriko Morimoto, Chief Marketing Officer at Title Nine. “The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we are eager to keep the momentum going this year. The next generation of female activists are incredibly committed  to make a change in the world and we want to help them blaze that trail. Last year I was extremely impressed with, and frankly inspired by their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. I’m sure this year will be no different.”

Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition is the second edition of the pitchfest program which started in 2018 with the Pitchfest Outdoor Edition and this year expanded to include a third program, Pitchfest Girls Edition. Each pillar of the pitchfest trifecta was created to empower women to follow their goals across different sectors and to inspire the next generation of women thinkers and creatives to not be afraid to start small and to dream big.

Applicants are encouraged to apply by March 28th. For more information, please visit www.titlenine.com/t9-pitchfest-nonprofit.
