Nike signs Rachel Heck as first NIL golfer

Nike has signed Stanford University’s Rachel Heck as the US sportswear brand’s first name, image and likeness (NIL) golf athlete.

Heck currently sits third in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and her notable wins include the 2021 individual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) division one Women’s Golf Championship.

The Tennessee native also received multiple awards last year, including the Pac-12 Golfer of the Year and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Player of the Year. She also scooped the Honda Sports Award, given to the best collegiate female athlete in NCAA-sanctioned sports, and the Annika Award for being the top collegiate golfer. SportsMedia
