BMC Switzerland announced as the presenting sponsor for the Gone Graveling Women’s Festival in Bentonville, AR

February 10, 2022

Victoria, B.C. – February 10, 2022 /SPORTSWIRE WOMEN/ – Girls Gone Gravel and Feisty Media are proud to announce BMC Switzerland as presenting sponsor of the Gone Graveling Women’s Festival.  The inaugural women’s gravel festival event will take place April 28 – May 1, 2022, in Bentonville, Arkansas, and is open to any person who identifies as a woman. The festival will include three days of educational clinics, group rides, and community gatherings.

Joan Hanscom, Marketing Manager for BMC, reached out to Girls Gone Gravel after hearing about the event in December,

“I am so thrilled to see BMC partner with the fantastic crew at Feisty Media to help support the Gone Graveling Weekend. The second I saw it announced I knew we had to be there”, says Hanscom. “Girls Gone Gravel has done amazing, incredible, inspiring work to create community amongst women cyclists and to welcome more women into the sport. In so many ways, they are leading the way in growing women’s cycling – which has been a lifelong passion of mine as well.  And BMC is the ideal partner for a weekend of exploring by bike. The BMC URS – which is shorthand for Unrestricted – offers an incredible ride on all-terrain and instills confidence in all conditions.  We want all riders to be Unrestricted in their joyful (and sometimes not so joyful) pursuit of adventure by bike.”

Joining BMC will be brand ambassador Lex Albrecht, as well as veteran bike mechanic, Casey Wytaske who will not only be supporting the rides but also providing educational opportunities for women related to bike maintenance.

Festival founder, Kathryn Taylor is excited to work with BMC, “Back in my bike shop days, BMC was one of our most popular brands. I was always impressed with the quality of their bikes. Now I’m impressed with their commitment to provide opportunities for women and grow the sport. I look forward to working with BMC on this event and many more as we continue to create spaces for women in cycling.”

Other brands that will be supporting the festival include Kask Helmets, Koo Sunglasses, Diamondback Bikes, Eliel Cycling, Natural State Rock and Republic, BikeFlights, Floyds of Leadville Racing Team, and more.
