Hall of Famer Sue Bird joins NBC as WNBA analyst

Former UConn and WNBA star Sue Bird has been named as an analyst for NBC Sports’ coverage of the WNBA games this season.

Bird will join NBC Sports as a studio analyst for WNBA games on NBC and Peacock in 2026.

Bird, a 2025 inductee in the Basketball Hall of Fame, won a pair of national championships at Connecticut before going on to become a 13-time All-Star and four-time WNBA champion with the Seattle Storm before retiring after the 2022 season. She also won a record five gold medals as a member of the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team. USA Today
